Systems I've Built

Design systems work — component libraries, brand foundations, and cross-surface standards that scale beyond a single screen or deliverable.

A scalable design system is infrastructure, not decoration. It's the decision, made once, that governs how a brand looks on a website, a menu, a standing banner, and an email — without requiring the designer to start over each time.

What "scalable systems" means in practice

Two projects, two different stages of system-building. One completed library spanning web, print, and event collateral. One brand foundation scoped, partially built, and honestly documented — with a clear path to what remains.

Systems Contribution

Built the complete Figma component library and design tokens; structured the project file as a templatable model replicable for future restaurant clients. Components were validated across six surfaces — from web to print to event signage — ensuring visual consistency without per-surface redesign.

What Was Built
  • Style brand foundation
  • Color & type tokens
  • Logo system
  • UX sitemap
  • User flows
  • Wireframe set
  • Hi-fidelity screens
  • Style guide (Style vertical)
Honest Status

The Style vertical brand foundation is complete. The Beauty vertical foundation remains in scope. The Figma component library — sitemap, wireframe, user flow, and UI components — is partially built. What I'd do next: complete Beauty brand tokens, then build shared components that serve both verticals from a single source of truth, since the brands share infrastructure despite their distinct voices.

Why This Work Matters

Organizations with multiple surfaces — exhibitions, publications, wayfinding, digital platforms, programming — need design decisions that hold without a designer in the room every time.

The work above demonstrates that I can build that infrastructure: define the tokens, build the components, document the standards, and structure files so the system lives beyond any single project.
